Behaviour Style test

How does one communicate effectively?

Communicating and influencing effectively is an art in itself. Of course you already know that not everyone is the same. With some people you have a direct click, and with others you don't have a click at all. In fact: you prefer to avoid some people.

Yet it is useful to know how people 'work' and how you can best communicate with other people. By better assessing people's behaviour, for example, you will much better understand why some people always take the lead and communicate vigorously while others prefer to follow. Or why some people are so flexible and others are more committed to procedures. While communicating, a frequently made mistake is that you treat the other as you want to be treated. Yet this is not the case if you have insight into other people's preferences in behaviour and communication. Then the following applies: treat the other person the way he / she wants to be treated.

The Hulshof Behaviour Style Test is an instrument that provides insight into human behaviour and communication. The Behaviour Style test is based on the DISCĀ® Personality Analysis. DISC was developed over 90 years ago by the psychologist and professor Dr. William Marston at Harvard Medical School. Since then, DISC has been developed into a high-quality and fully-fledged behavioural instrument and has since been used by over 60 million people worldwide.

The Behaviour Style test

The Hulshof Behaviour Style Test consists of the combination of four so-called "temperaments", namely: Dominant, Influential, Stable, and Compliant. Every temperament is equally important, so there is no right or wrong. The test maps out someone's preferred styles, strengths, communication and opportunities for growth. By taking the test, you will increase the knowledge of behaviour, better understand how you can communicate with others, resolve and avoid communication conflicts and increase your individual effectiveness within the organisation.

The Behaviour Style test can be used by both individuals and teams. Individually, you will get more insight into personal qualities, preferences and needs behind behaviour and where you might lose energy. With teams, it's mainly about the optimal composition and getting to understand each other better. That way you can communicate with each other more on the same wavelength and therefore will understand each other much better.

Would you like to know what your preferred style is? Then take the test!
